Look who's five....

McKenzie has been looking forward to being five for a long time. She knows that 5 is the magic number...she gets to go to school like the big kids! I have to say I am REALLY looking forward to Aug. 10th. (the day school starts) McKenzie is BY FAR my most difficult child, she loves to test my patience. (I think she has middle child syndrome) She could win a whining contest easily, she is a pro. My mom is always telling me that she is my "pay backs", that I was the exact same way when I was little. But even though she is very trying at times, she can be a real sweetheart. She is my girly girl, she loves to wear dresses, flowers in her hair, and she owns more jewelry than I do. Our lives wouldn't be the same without her, we love you McKenzie.
When I asked McKenzie what kind of Birthday party she wanted she listed 3 things that she wanted.....
1. Lots of cousins to come
2. A ladybug cake
3. Slip -n- slide
So that is exactly what she got!!

Lots of cousins!

A ladybug cake!

And a slip -n- slide!

And as a bonus...lots of presents!

I have to admit her party was lots of fun!! It was fun to watch all the kids get really dirty from the homemade slip n slide. We had a barbecue and went swimming, then us adults played a game of water volleyball...so fun! Thanks McKenzie for having a birthday, and a HUGE thanks for everyone that came to celebrate with us and make her feel special.

Every girl should have a friend like Acea!!

Makayla (my barely 3 year old) has quite the imagination! She has had an imaginary friend for at least six months now...her name is Acea. The way she talks about her you would think this Acea girl was real. Makayla is to the point now she will ask me to call Acea on the phone!! The other kids are always giving her a hard time and telling her that there is no Acea, man does she get mad!! Tonight she asked me if Acea can spend the night, I asked Makayla what her phone number was so I could call her and she was upset I didn't know what it was. I am beginning to worry that Makayla is taking this imaginary friend a little to far. Acea is beginning to become a daughter I never had, with all I know about her!

Makayla woke me up looking like this and begging for me to take her picture!! This girl is a crack up!

Our Cruise

This post could very long with all the details of how much fun we had, so all I'm gonna say is every couple needs to do a week long cruise without the kids at least once!! We had so much fun and it reminded me how lucky I am to be married to such a GREAT guy.

Days at Sea.....

Puerto Vallarta

The shore excursion we did in Puerto Vallarta was a highlight to our cruise, so much FUN!!

Mazatlan

Mazatlan was a day of hanging out on the beach and buying souvenirs. Mazatlan was HOT and VERY humid, one place I don't care to visit again. But this is where I got a great tan!

Cabo San Lucas

Clayton was in heaven snorkeling, I on the other hand was in heaven laying out on the beach. Snorkeling is not for me..I need more air than that!

We became quite the pros of taking pictures of ourselves! And Clayton had fun trying to teach me how to smile without closing my eyes, but it didn't work. :)

Thanks babe for a fun week! Love you.

My baby turned 3!

While Clayton and I were gone on our cruise our baby Makayla turned 3! We were sad we had to miss this but Grandma Mowers did a great job making her day special. Makayla is a very special girl, she knows how to put a smile on any ones face, she is a VERY funny girl. She loves to be the center of attention and is quite the jokester. When I was pregnant with her we so badly wanted a boy so we could have two of each and call our family complete, but without her in our lives our family would be nothing close to complete. By far Makayla is our child that wears her feelings on her sleeve, she is quick to say I Love You and loves to snuggle. To put it plain and simple she is the light and joy of our family. We love you to pieces Makayla!

4th of July!!

We headed up to Snowflake to drop off the kids so Clayton and I can begin out 7 day vacation!! We were able to catch the parade in Heber before heading back down the Mountain. Our kids look forward to the parades for the 4th and the 24th celebrations in the White Mountains every year. They LOVE all the candy they get!!

The whole gang waiting for the parade to start!!

Grandma with 4 VERY cute kids! (That better be good for her!!)

Callie and Kiara...best friends.

Cody and Ketner....best buds!

Makayla was afraid of all the sirens at the parade so she stayed in the back of the car the whole time. Silly girl!

Family picture before Clayton and I headed back down the Mountain to begin our vacation!

This is the man I get to spend the next 7 days with!! I get him ALL to myself!

After getting home we got cleaned up and snuck in a date night before coming home to finish packing!

Hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July!!
