Callie's special day!

Callie's baptism was on Saturday, February 21, 2009! What a special day for a special girl. She was a little nervous the morning of, I asked her while doing her hair that morning if she was nervous. She said, "I'm not nervous, I'm just scared I'm gonna mess up!" I had to explain that her dad should be the one scared, he is the one that has to do everything.

Her baptism was double special, she was able to get baptised with her cousin! They are four days apart and live in the same Stake, so it worked out GREAT! We had such a fun day! We had lots of food, presents, family, friends and lots of good laughs! What more can you ask for?

Callie we are so proud of you, and the choice you made to be baptised. You are great example to your brother and sisters, they look up to you. You are such a fun, loving, girl and we are so glad you are in our family. Try to always remember the special feeling you felt on your baptism day and strive to never lose that feeling. We love you very much!

Presidents Day!

We love days off from school! We had to take advantage of this day off because of the GREAT weather. We went to Freestone Park with my BEST neighbor Amber, her kids, and my sister and kids! We took a lunch, bought wrist bands to ride the rides unlimited, took bikes, and just played until everyone was too tired to play anymore. We had such a fun time with friends and family!

Callie turned 8 on the 9th of February! She will be getting baptised on the 21st! She is so excited. We are so proud of Callie for the young lady she is becoming. She is such a special girl, our lives would not be the same without her. She loves to please everyone around her, she is such a GREAT big sister, she loves anything Hannah Montana, she enjoys school and everything about it! Callie is such a sweet girl, (don't get me wrong, she can be a pain in the neck)! We are blessed to have Callie as a part of our family, we love you sis!

McKenzie's Cute Belly Button

McKenzie was born with a herniated belly button. The doctor said most hernias in the belly button area will correct themselves by the age of two or three. Well, McKenzie wasn't that lucky, so she had to have surgery to correct it. She was so brave! The hospital offered a pre-op tour a couple days before her surgery, so Clayton took her to show her around. I am so glad he took her, after the tour she wasn't even scared for her surgery. She was so excited that the nurses told her to bring one of her favorite stuffed animals with her, she chose to bring "Bella" along for the excitement.

I was concerned the morning of her scheduled surgery, she had a little cough, so I thought for sure they would cancel it. The anesthesiologist came in and took a look and listened to her and said she was fine.

McKenzie didn't like the "coming out of it" feeling! The nurse put it best when she said, "she feels drunk, and can't figure out why. All she knows is that she never wants to feel this way again." (we hope not) Here are some pictures of our brave little trooper and her new cute belly button.

Grandpa Welker

We lost a GREAT man two years ago today. Grandpa Welker was loved by many, and we miss him terribly. He was a great example of unconditional love, and a hard worker. He would do anything for anyone, he was so giving of his time, talents, and love.

We found out he had cancer and God gave us four months to spend many days and hours letting him know of our love. I know for a fact that those four months were given to us (his kids) to prepare ourselves for his leaving us. Dad was at peace with going, he was such a great example in his last days. I only wish that when my time comes that I can be like him. I know he is around everyday, my youngest (Makayla) was 6 months old when grandpa died, and you can ask her questions about him and she will talk like she knows him, I truly believe she does.

Dad, I love and miss you EVERY day and I thank you for letting me be raised by such a GREAT man. I try every day to make you proud, I know we will all be together again. I LOVE YOU!

Dad was young (53) so we have to think God needed him more in Heaven than he did on Earth.

Fox10 News came to Power Ranch Elementary School today! The helicopter landed and the weather guy Cory came! The kids were so excited. I recorded it and we watched it in slow motion today after school, Callie and Cody were both on T.V.!! (They will be available for autographs at a later date.) The lame mom that I am, I didn't get dressed to go over to the school to take pictures(it's to cold) so you'll just have to believe me!
